The Roadshots

The collections of photographs below are catagorized by region. For example, the first collection below is the High Plains Series. Within a collection there is at least one photoshoot, a photoshoot being photographs taken during a particular period of time. In most cases it will be the drive between some point A and point B on a map. This type of photoshoot, we call them "roadshots," will be identified by state(s), town, or place, date, point A to B, and when remembered,, the highway(s): for example, in The High Plains Collection below there are at this date 7 titled photoshoots within, the first being Oklahoma to New Mexico 8-5-05 part 1 I40w. Translation: a series of selected photographs, Part 1, taken on Interstate 40 West on August 5, 2005 beginning in Oklahoma and ending in New Mexico. Around eight hours that day and some 300 or so digital photographs. The roadshot images selected to appear inside the collections are layed out on the thumbnail page, or index, from left to right in sequence shot as the drive progresses. Fasten your seat belts. Mine's fastened and as you can see from the photograph it truely is a point and shoot excercise hopefully with interesting results. Enjoy the drive. |
