River bottom October, 2007

This is a selection of images taken along River Road in Louisville during the fall of 2007. Here in Kentucky the lands in the flood plain of the Ohio River are called "bottoms." Due to frequent flooding of the Ohio this ground is rich and has been farmed for centuries by Kentuckians and native Americans.
